What is Solid Surface?

Solid Surface is the collective name for composite materials that are colored throughout their mass. They are solid and homogeneous and can be used for demanding applications.

All Solid Surface products have Aluminum Trihydrate (ATH) as their basic component. As a second component and binder, acrylate or polyester resins are used.

Aluminum hydroxide gives the material great rigidity and also makes it more heat resistant than other plastics.

Acrylate and/or polyester provides flexibility that primarily results in good workability and high impact resistance and strength.

Maintaining Solid Surface material.
For normal cleaning, you can use a natural cleaning agent, such as soft soap or cleaning vinegar. If a scratch occurs in the material, you can 'polish' the material again by using a sponge and Cif. This can be done by making circular movements over the surface. Then thoroughly rinse the cleaned surface with lukewarm water and wipe dry with a clean soft cloth.
