What is Solid Surface?

Solid Surface is the collective name for composite materials that are colored throughout. They are solid and homogeneous and can be used for demanding applications.

All Solid Surface products have Aluminum Trihydrate (ATH) as their basic component. Acrylic or polyester resins are used as the second component and binder.

Aluminum hydroxide gives the material great rigidity and also ensures that it is more heat resistant than other plastics.

Acrylic and/or polyester provides flexibility, which mainly results in good workability and high impact resistance and strength.

Maintaining Solid Surface material.
For normal cleaning, you can use a natural cleaning agent, such as green soap or cleaning vinegar. If a scratch occurs in the material, you can 'polish' the material again by using a sponge and Cif. This can be done by making circular movements over the surface. Then rinse the cleaned surface thoroughly with lukewarm water and wipe dry with a clean, soft cloth.
